News has reached us that Michael Elias, who represented St. Peter's College from 1978-1981, captaining in his last year, is on holiday in Toronto during the Christmas season. On behalf of JPAA Canada, we welcome Michael to our beautiful city and wish him a pleasant stay.

Michael's team mates during the four years were some big names worth mentioning – Rohan Buultjens, Rohan Paulusz, Niranjan Rodrigo, Rumesh Ratnayaka, Kitto Fernandopulle, Shane Brohier, Dane Joseph, Primus Denipitiya, Treherne Pereira, Trevor Faux, Wicket-keeper batsman Amal Silva, Vinothen John, and Suraj Abeysekara among others.

In batting, Michael Elias joined Rohan Buultjens, Amal Silva, Primus Denipitiya, Rohan Paulusz, Dane Joseph, Treherne Pereira, and Niranjan Rodrigo as centurions during the school season.

Rohan Buultjens was in phenomenal form scoring six centuries from 1978-1981. In 1979, Rohan Buultjens covered himself with glory to score dual unbeaten centuries (109 & 100) in the big match against St. Joseph's College.

Michael Elias had his baptism to cricket at St. Peter's College in 1978, and was a member of the winning team that won the big match by 6 wickets that year. Suraj Abeysekara was the winning Peterite captain and his team in batting order comprised of openers A. Fonseka and Michael Elias, wicket-keeper Kitto Fernandopulle, Rohan Buultjens, Treherne Pereira, Walter Fernando, Suraj Fernando, B. Mohammedally, A. Dassanayaka, Niranjan Rodrigo and Vinothen John.
