SPC LOGOSt. Peter’s College, Colombo-4, underlined their supremacy in inter-school boys’ tennis when they retained the Overall All Island Tennis Championship for 2014 at the SLTA hard courts in Colombo yesterday, July 11. St. Peter’s which faced unprecedented odds this year overcame all hurdles in an uncompromising manner to win the coveted trophy. They thus retained the title for the eighth time in ten years.

The Peterites’ continued success in tennis can be attributed to their discipline, hard work and commitment, said Rector of St. Peter’s, Rev. Fr. Trevor Martin. They are ably supported by their Sports Coordinator, Fr. Sharm Dasanayake and their Sports Secretary, Troy Bartlot. The Master-in-charge of tennis at St. Peter’s is Bernard Jesuthasan. Their coach has been long standing renowned coach Dinith Pathiraja who has been there for 17 years. (RSS).
