Josephian-Peterite Alumni Association – Canada celebrates its 30th Anniversary

Posted on 27 February 2014 by admin

The Josephian-Peterite Alumni Association – Canada was formed in 1984, and will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. We pride ourselves as the first ever Sri Lankan Schools' Alumni to be formed in Canada. This is an honour that we accept with much humility.

It took a combined Royal/Thomian/Trinity group to form the next schools alumni five or six years later. The numbers were not enough to form individual associations in the early years. So it made perfect sense to double up and act jointly. The visionaries who started JPAA Canada should be congratulated in their thought process at the time.

Today, the scene has changed in Canada. All but the Josephians and Peterites have formed individual associations but JPAA CANADA goes on as a vibrant joint association of the Joes and Peterites in Canada. Working together in harmony to keep the flags flying.

The association celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
