The proceedings began with Holy Mass concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Trevor Martin, Rev. Fr. Srian Ranasinghe – OMI, Rev. Fr. Chrispin Leo, Rev. Fr. Samith Rangana Fernando, Rev. Fr. Chandanalal Fernando, Rev. Fr. Samantha Fernandopulle and Rev. Fr. Kamal Kumar, followed by the traditional breakfast, courtesy Rev. Fr. Rector.

The AGM thereafter was followed by an 'after party – fellowship'.

Congratulations to the entire new Committee of Management of St. Peter's College Old Boys' Union (Colombo) elected at the Annual General Meeting held on Sunday, July 2, 2017. Full list of elected officers in post below.

Asela Lihinikaduwa was elected President while Kevin Edwards and Algi Wijewickrema were among those elected Vice Presidents. Ravika de Silva was elected General Secretary.

May god bless these fine gentlemen who have taken on a huge responsibility in carrying on the legacy left behind by many previous committees since 1927.

A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way. …and I am sure the new president and his team are all leaders in their own inimitable way. We wish them well!

The Old Boys’ Union of St. Peter’s College, Colombo had their 89th Annual General Meeting on Sunday, 2nd July 2017, at the D J Nicholas Perera Hall at St. Peter’s, at which Mr. Asela Lihinikaduwa was elected President for the year 2017/18.

The Pre-Seventies Peterites (or The Peterites' Group of Pre 1970 to give its official name) had its Annual General Meeting last Friday, 26th May 2017 at the OBU Secretariat followed by a social.

Dear Peterites young and old,

This would be my final official message to you all as your General Secretary and I write to thank you most sincerely for the wonderful cooperation I received from all members here and abroad in the discharge of my duties.

I consider it indeed a privilege to have been able to serve the St. Peter's College OBU and through it St, Peter's itself and hope that I was able to do justice to the position held by me. Please accept my sincerest apologies if there were omissions or lapses on my part in serving you as the General Secretary.

I take this opportunity to also thank Fr. Trevor Martin our Rector and Patron of the OBU, Romeish de Mel, the President, all COM members, the Presidents of Batch Groups and Foundations and Chairmen of sub-committees for the support extended to me during my tenure as the General Secretary and thereby making my job a pleasant one..

While thanking all for the cooperation given to me, may I request you to extend the same support or more to the new General Secretary who will be elected at the AGM tomorrow

Old Boys' Union of St. Peter's College 

Dear Brother Peterites,

GOLDEN GLEAM 2017 (OBU Annual Fundraiser) 

With the theme "UNDER THE SEA", this year the OBU will be celebrating its 90^th Anniversary and 40 Years of being led by a lay President. Proceeds of this years' Dance will used to complete the Student Career Guidance Centre of College. 

Venue   : Colombo Hilton

Date      : Saturday – 12^th August 2017.

As in the past we very earnestly request all members to assist us by way sponsorships, advertisement, banners, gifts and airline tickets. Please contact the undersigned or the Secretary of the Dance Committee for the required letters.

Booking of Tables (10 Pax Per Table) are now open and will be on "A First Come, First Paid Basic". Tickets are prices at Rs.12,500/- per head, which includes pre event Cocktails, Dinner & Breakfast. A table of 10 Pax will be provided with 2 bottles of Scotch, 1 bot. of Vodka, 1 bot. each of Sparkling, Red & White Wine, Beer, chases, finger food.

45 tables are up for grabs. A draw will be held to allocate the tables as per the floor plan once payment for all 45 Tables have been received.
